What items are not allowed to be carried by Philippine Airlines on hand?

  • Worker tools: Working tools and construction items like Blow torches, crowbars, drills, hammers, nails, pliers, saws, screwdrivers, wrenches, Handcuffs, bolts, and more are strictly restricted to be carried during the flight. 
  • Blunt Items: Blunt items that can cause any injury are strictly prohibited, like contact keychains, baton sticks, billy clubs, blackjack, Kubaton, billiard sticks, pool cue, bowling, Billiards Balls, Club, sticks, bats, rods, dumbells, hand weight, fishing rods, ice skates, skateboards, Industrial chain or metal chain, paddles, air tanks, tennis, badminton, squash, paddle rackets, martial arts weapons and more are the blunt objects that are strictly prohibited to carry. ]

Allowed items that can be carried as carry-on baggage

Some items don't fall in the category of prohibited items and are permitted to carry carry-on baggage; here is the list of some items that are allowed to carry carry-on baggage.

  • It is allowed by Philipines Airlines to carry one transparent resealable plastic bag per person of 1 liter.
  • Liquid containers like perfumes can be carried, but they can be up to 100 maximum.
  • Rechargeable lithium, which should be less than 100 WH, can be carried as carry-on baggage.
  • Non-rechargeable lithium and lithium batteries and cells are also allowed to be carried.
  • During the flight, Philipines Airlines carries rechargeable lithium batteries between 101-1 and 0 MWH as carry-on baggage. 
  • E-cigarettes and vapes are allowed to be carried as well, but the allowance depends on the country as some may be allowed to take them, and some may deny the carrying of E-cigarettes and vapes. 

Is vape allowed in hand-carry on Philippine Airlines?

Yes, Philippine Airlines (PAL) allows electronic smoking devices, such as vape pens, in carry-on baggage as long as they are turned off and protected. 

  • Carry-on: Vapes are permitted in carry-on baggage but must be turned off and protected to prevent accidental activation. 
  • Lounge: Vapes are permitted in designated areas within the PAL lounge, but users should be mindful of others and avoid causing discomfort. 
  • Prohibited: Smoking, including vaping, is not permitted on all PAL flights and at the airport except in designated areas.

Is Tumbler allowed in hand-carry Philippine Airlines?

Philipines Airlines allows tumblers to be carried as long as they can be wrapped and fit perfectly into your carry-on. Empty containers with a capacity greater than 100m are permitted; you can take the empty containers like tumblers through the checkpoint and fill them afterward.
