Air India Increases Flights to Kolkata for Durga Puja Celebrations.

Air India has extended its flight schedule to Kolkata from four Indian cities to satisfy the increased demand for travel during Durga Puja. The airline will run daily, nonstop flights from Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Kolkata beginning on September 20, 2024, for over a month. This action is intended to accommodate the spike in demand for travel over the holiday season. This increase in flight options to Kolkata from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad is being done to accommodate the holiday demand during Durga Puja 2024.

The additional flights are timed to provide travelers with more flexibility and convenience. The scheduled flight timing to and from Kolkata guarantees easy travel through the main hubs in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai. Also, travel booked to locations in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Southeast Asia has been made smoother. Air India said last month that, as of November 1, 2024, and January 2, 2025, its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft will start flying on Delhi-Newark and Delhi-New York routes. This update is anticipated to improve the traveler experience on these vital routes.
