Not just passengers, the airlines also witnessed some delays in their journeys and became cautious about the safety of their passengers. 

What flight inconveniences are happening because of the Bangladesh student protest?

US Bangla Airlines has been recording continuous changes to the flight departure dates by its passengers, as everyone wants to leave the country as soon as possible. When it comes to Biman Bangladesh Airlines, then they have two daily flights between Dhaka and Calcutta, but recently the occupancy increased by 90 percent. There have been almost daily 10 cancellatuions by the airline that are occurring because of the protest.

Yes, there have been several flight cancellations in different airlines and the main reason for these cancellations is mainly the student protest. The several services such as local transportation such as buses, railway services, hotels, and restaurants services. It becomes extremely difficult for everyone to reach the airport or to get to home from the airport. The several cancellations that have been happening from the passengers have this one reason. The Government of Bangladesh has imposed a curfew to save the situation and to stop from making it more worse. They have banned the internet services, but it eventually impacts the different flights aligned to take off.

The condition of Bangladesh and mainly Dhaka seems to be worsening day to day amid the student protest. The student protest started with disagreements on the 30 percent quota given to the freedom fighters and mainly the veterans who fought the war against Pakistan in 1971. The continuous quota system is impacting their jobs, and the protest that started peacefully soon turned violent where there have been 114 deaths until now. All the different services and sectors were impacted which eventually made daily life more problematic. Transportation was highly affected by several flight cancellations and delays.
