What is the child policy at Emirates?

Emirates, the best and most advanced airline, provides all kinds of facilities to passengers, whether traveling alone or with their children. The airline also provides flexibility to small children traveling with their companions. The rules and policies will help enhance the entire registration process for children. You can go through the information below to travel easily with the kid and get suitable facilities.

Their family-friendly service offers special perks to children traveling with their parents or guardians. The airline has issued the following guidelines to ensure your journey is safe.

Traveling with infants

Traveling with infants on a flight will be challenging, so it is necessary to be aware of policies that will make it easier for them to travel. The airline will do its best to make the seat arrangement in such a way that the families can sit together but to make it easier, one must follow the instructions. If the infant is under two years old, then the passenger can ask for the bassinet, or it is allowed to keep the baby on the lap that must be tied with the particular seat belt extension.

For children two years old and older, passengers are advised to bring their own car seat or have the infant seated beside them.

Passengers can request a bassinet, but the infant must be up to 2 years old at the time of online reservation or booking management; passengers can still make the request. It must be remembered that passengers cannot access the bassinet on a regular booking at a child's fare rate.

Traveling with children

As per the Emirates child policy, children aged 5 to 11 flying alone can book the unaccompanied minors service.

The airline also offers this service for children aged 12 to 15.

Children aged 2 to 5 years old

You will get the complimentary stroller from the check-in desks in Emirates, located at terminal 3, and easily make your way to the airport. At boarding time, just drop the stroller off at the stroller park, located at the boarding gate. Strollers are sanitized with disinfectant spray to keep the little ones safe.

Children aged 5 to 11 years old

From age 5 to 11, you must fly at the adult fare. If children up to 11 can travel in different cabin classes from their parents and guardians traveling on the same flight, they must fly on the adult fare. Though they can fly, they cannot access the children's lounge and unique services.

Children over 12 years old

These children can fly on an adult fare or alone without an unaccompanied guardian. To receive unaccompanied minor service, passengers must pay an extra fee of $50$ per young passenger for every leg of the journey. The children must be between 12 to 15 years old.
