1. Cabin Baggage/Carry-On Baggage

3. Special Baggage

A few unusual and odd-shaped items are carried on Emirates planes as special baggage. It includes sports equipment, infant items, and musical instruments. The rules for special baggage at Emirates for the international flights are as follows:

  • Disabled passengers get a free allowance with Emirates for carrying the accessibility device on the flight. It can be a wheelchair, portable dialysis machine, assistance pets, etc. However, one must submit the medical documents showing the carried item as a must requirement.

  • A person is allowed to add 5 kg weight segments to their allotted weightage for a bag. A total of 50 kg bags would be allowed at the airport.
  • Each person is allowed to purchase 5 extra baggage above their baggage allowance with Emirates.

6. Oversize & Overweight Baggage

In case one carries a piece of baggage that exceeds the approved limit at Emirates, charges will be applied. The oversized and overweight charges majorly depend on the destination. The fee ranges between USD 75 and USD 150.
