What is the baggage policy for students on Scoot Airlines?

When your flights are booked with Scoot Airlines, the next thing you need to do is to collect all the details that are related to the flight so the journey can be convenient and comfortable. If you are a student and looking for extra baggage allowance and benefits from the airline, then Scoot does not have such offerings. They may offer you some benefits, but for that, you have to contact them enquired. There are no special baggage guidelines from the airline for students. However, we are going to discuss the baggage policy accurately and in detail so you can bring the luggage by following the instructions of the airline. 

What is the baggage policy of Scoot Airlines?

When you are traveling with Scoot Airlines, start to prepare for the journey. Make sure you collect all the information related to the baggage. If the airline finds any problems with the luggage size or weight or if you are carrying any prohibited items, then you will be denied entry.  Let us enlighten you about the baggage policy of the airline by discussing it in an explanatory manner. 

Checked Baggage Allowance

This bag will not be with you during the flight journey and will be transported by the airline. Therefore, try to carry items that will not be required while you are in between the travel:

• You are permitted to carry at least 15 pieces of bags that should remain under the given size dimensions. 
• With Economy, no bags will be included in the fare but with add-on options the weight can be from 20 to 40 kg. 
• When it comes to Scoot Plus then, 30 kg of luggage will be included in the fare, and the extra baggage allowance can be up to 40 kg. 
• You can have to pay the additional charges to bring the extra baggage. 
• It is mandatory that your bags are in good condition and are not broken or tied with ropes and wires as it can harm other bags on the journey. 

Cabin Luggage

These bags will remain with you throughout the flight, so the airline advises you to bring items that will be required during the flight. Some of the instructions from the airline for the cabin bags are listed below: 

• The weight limitation for the cabin luggage at Scoot Airline is 10 kg, and being a low-cost airline, it is impressive. 
• If you are traveling in ScootPlus, then the weight limit will be increased by 15 kg. 
• Make sure that your carry-on bag should be within 54cm x 38cm x 23cm size dimensions. 
• The airline advises you to strictly follow the size dimensions as the bag needs to fit under the overhead cabin. 

Sporting Goods

The airline will let you travel with some sporting equipment. You have to go through document verification for the same, and we have mentioned the list below: 

• The sporting items you can carry to the flight include a surfboard, canoes, skis, scuba diving apparel, and a bicycle. 
• These items will be counted with your prepurchased baggage. 
• If you exceed the limit, the charges for the extra baggage have to be paid. 
• The items should not be more than 32 kg. 
• You have to re-pack them or send them via cargo. You can connect with Cargo customer support to transport items that are above 32 kg.
